You don’t build one of the top defenses in the league by accident. Since taking over as Defensive Coordinator in 2021, Coach Brew has done something special in Fontana — he’s constructed a Steel Curtain. Every season, the numbers improve. Every season, opposing offenses leave humbled. A 55-3 demolition of Jurupa Valley. All-Inland Empire second-team defensive selections. This isn’t a trend — it’s a standard.
Brew came up the hard way, paying his dues at Jurupa Hills and Indian Springs before bringing his defensive system to Fontana High School. He didn’t just bring a scheme — he brought a culture of dominance. His defenses don’t bend. They don’t gamble. They execute, they swarm, and when they hit you, you feel it for four quarters.
As Assistant Head Coach, Brew’s fingerprints are all over this program. The toughness, the discipline, the refusal to let a lead slip — that’s his DNA. When the offense struggles, the defense carries the team. And under Coach Brew, the defense is always ready to carry.
“Defense isn’t just a side of the ball. It’s a mentality. My guys come to take something away from you — every single play.”
“Drink water, stretch and get 1% better. Compete every play. Every single play.”
